Subramanian Swamy, the man who always lets his work speak for itself, has now dragged the famous NGO, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) to the Apex Court.

It should be noted that Tamil Nadu witnesses a very popular sporting event as a part of its culture since many centuries, called the Jallikattu. In this sport, bulls are tamed. However, now it is facing strong oppositions from NGOs and other rights based organizations, including PETA, who seem to have their own secret agenda and ulterior motive behind this.
Like usual, his avid fan following responded happily at this incident, and made several replies to his tweet. People are ecstatic as his entry might restore this sporting tradition, after all.

The BJP government has pointed out to the cultural importance of this bull taming festival and that it is a tradition that Tamilians hold close to their hearts. BJP Leader, H. Raja said that people in the Supreme Court do not realize the importance of this festival. Worshiping of bulls is like giving them thanks.
He said that the Supreme Court need not make irrelevant remarks and should not question the Center’s decision on this festival.
He also ended up blaming the previous UPA government for deliberately including the bull under the Performing Animals (Registration) Rules, 2000. He accused the UPA government of destroying Indian traditions like this just because they got influenced by American NGOs.
